Hello my lovelies! How are you? Today I posted on YouTube a video that would never imagined to do. Why? Because I started this journey by only sharing with you all that I love and support. But at the same time, sharing with you trustful and honest thoughts and opinions.
So, in this post, you're going to find my FULL and HONEST OPINION on a product that most of you are obsessed with: The Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

THE REVIEW
In the video you saw that I talked about of many issues that I had with the foundation, for example dry skin, open pores, harsh to blend other products, and so on. But we're going to talk about that later.
I was searching for a new foundation that was full coverage, that stay longer on my skin without retouching it, and that was matte but with a little bit of glow and hydration. After doing my researches and seeing some reviews on YouTube, the Double Wear Foundation was the perfect match between what I wanted and the excellent consumer review. But that was not my experience.
Let's start by talking about the packaging of the foundation. It felt very heavy and luxurious, very minimal, golden, very Estée Lauder. But when I opened it, there was no pump. So, for the price that you pay, for the brand itself, it's already a turn off, when it's almost mandatory having a pump, to control more the product that you use and don't have any waste. And it stars getting heaven more strange when I saw that they sell the pump separately. That doesn't make any sense for me.
But I was so overwhelmed with the reviews of the product and with what the foundation promised, that I start use it right away.
The Double Wear Foundation promises you a 24 Hours wear, a matte finish, claims to be oil free and shine control, water proof, transfer and humidity resistant and medium-to-full coverage. It is available in 55 shades with C (Cold) N (Neutral) W (Warm) Undertones. This foundation is the number one 1# in the U.S.
As you saw on the video, since the first time that I used this foundation, I had a lot of issues. The first one was immediately the dryness on my skin. When the foundation began to dry, I started felling my skin drying more and more. So, I tried again, but this time with some primer. And nothing, heaven with some primers the foundation got worse. I was almost giving up trying, until I remembered to use it with some Seruns that I have. And still nothing. It helped a little bit, but the difference was not visible.
So basically with all this trying, the foundation on my skin didn't work at all! It really opens my pores, felt really dry, doesn't allow me to work with any kind of powders, and heaven some times the product disappeared on some spots.
And I gave up using this foundation. At least on me.
I think its obvious that The Double Wear Foundation from Estée Lauder "It's Not Marta Approved"! Unfortunately this foundation doesn't work for me and for the use that I want, but I have to say! This foundation worked really well on some people that I did their makeup, so maybe it's just with some kind of skin types, or other reason.
This was only my FULL and HONEST opinion! As you've saw, this was a really one of the most wanted products for me, and sadly turned out to not work. My advice for you is to try this foundation first, and see for yourself if it works.
